Plagiarism Policy

  • IONTECH Journal rejects all forms of plagiarism, duplication, and self-plagiarism.
  • All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to the review stage (Turnitin).
  • The maximum acceptable similarity index allowed is 20% (excluding references and automatic quotations).
  • Manuscripts exceeding the threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or automatically rejected.
  • Any indication of data fabrication or falsification will result in immediate rejection and institutional notification.

Publication Ethics

  • Authors: Must submit entirely original work, provide accurate citations, include all actual contributors, and declare conflicts of interest (COI).
  • Reviewers: Maintain strict confidentiality, objective evaluation, zero COI, and provide constructive, timely feedback.
  • Editors: Guarantee fair and transparent decisions, ensure a rigorous double-blind peer review, and prevent ethical violations.
  • Publisher: Maintain absolute editorial independence and handle academic misconduct (corrections or retractions if necessary).

Ethical Approval and Informed Consent

All manuscripts submitted to IONTech Journal that involve human participants must have obtained ethical approval from an accredited Research Ethics Committee. Authors are required to clearly state the name of the ethics committee and the ethical approval number in the manuscript.

Studies involving human subjects must include a statement confirming that informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to participation.

Research involving experimental animals must fully comply with institutional and international guidelines for animal welfare and research ethics standards.

Peer Review Process (Summary)

  • Initial pre-screening by the editor checks scope alignment, completeness, template format, and plagiarism.
  • Rigorous double-blind peer review process evaluated by at least two independent reviewers to ensure complete objectivity.
  • Editorial decisions are classified as Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject based on recommendations.

Open Access Policy

  • All published articles are available as immediate open access with zero subscription or paywall fees.
  • License: Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) — users are free to share and adapt materials with proper credit.
  • APC: Article publication is completely free of charge (Rp 0 / No publication fees).

Archiving Policy

  • IONTECH utilizes PKP PN, LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS digital archiving networks for secure long-term digital preservation.
  • Self-archiving allows authors to deposit preprint, postprint, and published PDF versions with no embargo period.

Publication Frequency

IONTECH Journal is published periodically twice a year in February and August.
